Hydraulic Pump Motor Study
Performed on a hydraulic pump and motor housing assembly located in an equipment room, the sound pressure level meter reading resulted in an ambient sound reading of 91.1 dBA.

Pump Motor Blanket Application
This INSULTECH Acoustic Blanket Insulation was designed and manufactured to insulate the motor housing surface, pump housing surface and connecting shroud.

Source Readings
Source readings were taken at approximately 24" from the actual equipment surface plane, before and after being fitted with INSULTECH Blanket Insulation. This estimate was based on the minimal available reading (90.0 dBA) from the meter used.

Final Reading
The final motor housing reading showed a minor reduction due to the fact that the motor housing vent ports were located on the side of the motor. These ports could not be covered. The blanket design construction included an extended Velcro flap fastening system on all closing seams. Conduit and bracketing was accommodated for in the blanket design. Both the motor housing and pump housing were designed in two half section pieces.
